Features of a horse

The points of the Horse are its external features, which together make up its conformation. The conformation determines the breed of the horse. Horses are expected to conform certain proportions, which are also good indicators of an animal's general qualities and state of health. If the conformation is weak, there is an increased risk of disease and joint problems.

The right conformation is an essential factor in the work to which the horse is put. A well-made horse, performing a task for which it is conformationally suited, will perform better and for longer.

"Points" are mane, tail, and legs from knee and hock down. Points are always black.
