As Jockey Samuel Fargeat could not arrive to fulfill his riding engagement, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey Vivek to ride SMOOTH GLIDER in place of the declared rider.

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of VALAHAK, was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming in and causing interference to RARE AND PRECIOUS (V.R. Jagadeesh) on his inside passing the 1000 Metres.

Jockey S. John, the rider of OPTIMUS PRIME, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Vivek to the Stewards for improper riding on his mount SMOOTH GLIDER (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in the above race in that he unduly checked his mount during the early part of the race, thereby causing severe interference to OPTIMUS PRIME (S. John) on his inside passing the 1000 Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar and Jockey Vivek. After deliberations, they decided to (a) note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar; and (b) suspend the Jockey's licence granted to Jockey Vivek from 13-2-2012 to 22-2-2012 (both days inclusive) and fine him a sum of Rs.5,000/- for improper riding on his mount SMOOTH GLIDER (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in the above race (permitted to ride work).
