INCIDENTS :
SHIVALIK DEW (B.L. Paswan) was extremely fractious prior to being loaded in the gates, reared up and fell down on her head resulting in shock. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Subsequently it was reported that the horse died inspite of intensive care and treatment at 4.45 p.m.
Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of MOKO MOKO MOKO, reported that his mount was hanging out after rounding the final bend. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, trainer Mr. R.H. Sequeira was informed to take appropriate remedial measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of PRESIDENTS RULE, reported that his mount was hanging in throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
