Jockey Suraj Naredu (STAR GODDESS) reported that his mount stumbled soon after the start, and that the mare lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

Trainer Dallas Todywalla was questioned regarding the comparative performance of his charge in this race, which the mare won as compared to her previous run in Race no 18 run on 27^th July, 2012. He stated that this time it was a lower class, the mare had Tongue Strap on, and this was a race for horses 5 year old and over. Trainer Todywalla stated that after her last run he had the mare scoped and the Vet had informed him that she may have to undergo surgery but he should first try a Tongue Strap (should be sufficient) and therefore he had used a Tongue Strap this time. He further added that on the previous occasion the mare was in contention till about 400 metres and then petered out and the shortened distance helped her. The explanation was noted.

After the race, CIEL INDIENNE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, CENT PER CENT was found to be sound but having an abrasion at the left hind fetlock.

KOHIMA GIRL (App.Sandeep Jadhav) lost about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer Suresh Chavan has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

Approaching 600 metres, STAR BLESSINGS (App.Tushar Nemane) shifted out and caused interference to FAIRY QUEEN (C.S.Jodha) who in turn forced SEEN IT ALL (A.Ashhad Asbar) to travel wide. App.Tushar Nemane has been fined Rs.1000/-.

Passing 400 metres, FALLEN ANGEL (Zameer Sayyed) fizzled out and lost position and in doing so, ANGELS TERN (B.Sreekanth) who was following had to shift out, who in turn caused STAR BLESSINGS (App.Tushar Nemane) to shift out and in the process was tightened on to MABLE (Suraj Narredu). 

After the race, STAR BLESSINGS and DONATA were observed to have an abrasion at the left hind pastern, FALLEN ANGEL had an abrasion at the left hind cannon, FAIRY QUEEN had an abrasion at the left hind fetlock and ANGELS TERN had a cut injury at the left hind bulb of heel. MABLE was found to be sound.

The Starter reported that as the entire field was loaded and about to be dispatched, Jockey B.Sreekanth, rider of FOREST LEGION, called out that the Tongue Strap on his mount had come off. He said that due to the tight position in the stall applying the Tongue Strap back on the horse could not be attempted as this was a fractious horse and would inconvenience the field.

After the race, LUCKY RED had an abrasion at the left hind pastern, STUNTACULAR had an abrasion at the right hind tendon and FOREST LEGION had an injury at the right nostril. MZIMA, SAN RAFAEL and WALKING TALL were found to be sound.

Near 600 metres, MIDNIGHT WIND (S.Shinde) was hampered for a run when BUCHAREST (Imran Chisty)  shifted inwards due to the presence of MARENGO (P.Trevor) on its outside.

After the race, HAY DAY was found to be sound, but having an abrasion at the right hind coronet. BUCHAREST had an abrasion at the right hind pastern. MARENGO and SARISKA were found to be sound.

WINDSOR QUEEN (Imran Chisty) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

MIDNIGHT LADY (Amyn Merchant) ducked inwards after jumping out of the Gates and was slow to begin thereby losing ground.

Near 200 metres, BRYNHILL (Dashrath Singh) lugged in for a few strides due to which WINDSOR QUEEN (Imran Chisty) shifted ground inwards. Trainer N.B.Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

After the race, ICE GATE was found to be sound.

The saddle on NEATH (Imran Chisty) was observed to have slipped forward soon after the start and also the lead bag fell off near 700 metres. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been fined Rs.2000/-. 

After the race, ROYAL CREST was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, ADVENTURER was observed to have an abrasion at the right fore cannon. SAIFEENA, TARA and SAVAGE GARDEN were found to be sound.

Near 700 metres, JUSTERINI (Shammi Khan) shifted in and caused interference to MIRACLE OF MERCY (T.S.Jodha) and passing 600 again shifted in and hampered the running of MIRACLE OF MERCY. Jockey Shammi Khan was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding.

The Stewards after the last race interviewed Jockey Shammi Khan and having heard him and viewing the video recording of the race, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him and decided to suspend his Jockey’s license for 1^st September, 2012 for careless riding. (permitted to ride work/mock race).

Near 150 metres, JUSTERINI (Shammi Khan) dropped back and in doing so, hampered the running of SONG OF AFRICA (C.S.Jodha) and MONEY STRIKE (Altaf Sayyed) who were following. 

SOURCE CODE (B.Sreekanth) hung out while negotiating the bend and in the straight. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

App.Prasad (TROPICAL ZONE) has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to ride out his mount to complete advantage in the final stages of the race.

Jockey Zameer Sayyed (QUANDO QUANDO) has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to ride out his mount to complete advantage in the final stages of the race.

After the race, JUSTERINI was found to be sound, but having an abrasion at the right hind fetlock and MONEY STRIKE was found to be sound but having an abrasion at the left fore cannon. ANGEL’S DREAM, SOURCE CODE, ARABIAN CHIEF, TROPICAL ZONE (examined at the stables) and QUANDO QUANDO (examined at the stables), were found to be sound.

At the start, STAYING ALIVE (Nirmal Jodha, dr.9) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to THIS ONES FOR YOU (A.Sandesh, dr.8), who went on to EMERALD VALLEY (Shrikant Kamble, dr.7), who in turn went on to ROYAL HONOUR (Kavraj Singh, dr.6).

Soon after the start, STAYING ALIVE (Nirmal Jodha) lugged in and hampered the running of ISHPINGO (Imran Chisty). Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race gelding.

After the race, EMERGING STAR was observed to have a cut injury at both hind coronet. ALBUURZ , TALK OF THE TOWN, FORTUNER and  STAYING ALIVE were found to be sound.

At the Start, STRIKING GIRL (Shrikant Kamble, dr.3) was tightened between ORIENTAL SAPPHIRE (App.Tushar Nemane, dr.4) and KASKAZI (D.K.Ashish, dr.2) 

Near 300 metres, ORIENTAL SAPPHIRE (App.Tushar Nemane) shifted out and made contact with ASHWA YODHAA (Amyn Merchant). App.Tushar Nemane has been cautioned.

After the race, ASHWA YODHAA was observed to have a cut injury at the left hock and KASKAZI was observed to have lost its left hind plate. ORIENTAL SAPPHIRE was found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of the 2^nd, 3^rd, 5^th & 7^th race viz.  AMADEUS, ANGELS TERN, MARENGO and BRUNELLO , as also that of TARA & LORELEI (7^th race) and the special sample of CIEL INDIENNE & CENT PER CENT (2^nd race), SARISKA (5^th race) and ROYAL CREST (7^th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
