The surcingle of ch g BOLD N ON (M Maseyk) was observed to have snapped during the running of the race. On examination of the equipment it was found to be not well maintained. Jockey M Maseyk was fined Rs.500/- for using unserviceable equipment on his mount.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey B Prithviraj, the rider of BRAVE DASH to the Stewards for not permitting his mount to run on its merits in that when the start was affected he held his mount in check thus putting it at a disadvantage in the race. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the last race and interviewed B Shiva the trainer of the horse and Jockey B Prithviraj. After deliberations they decided to withdraw the Jockey`s licence granted to B Prithviraj from 8-7-2003 to 31-3-2004 (both days inclusive) for not permitting his mount BRAVE DASH to run on its merits and note the explanation tendered by trainer Mr. B. Shiva in the above race.
