Race Reports

TIME WARNER (Pawan Sharma) missed the jump and did not raise a proper gallop. On questioning Jockey Pawan Sharma he stated that his mount had behaved in a similar manner in the earlier run as well as such Trainer S Nawab was advised to show his charge in a mock race and passed to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before accepting in a race.

Jockey Tauseef Ahmed (HELLO DOLLY) reported that his mount was inclined to hang in in the last 300 mts inspite of his best efforts, Trainer Mohsin Khan was advised to take remedial measures.

Trainer Magan Singh was called in and questioned regarding the running and riding of ZIP. On questioning Trainer Magan Singh stated that he had instructed the jockey to push in the initial 100 mts and settled with the field and make his final move in the last 500 mts. Trainer was of the opinion that his filly was not performing in the last few runs to that the Stipendiary Stewards conveyed that they shall be closely monitoring the future runs of the filly.

SMILES OF GOLD was extremely fractious after being stalled , reared up as the start was effected. Trainer Zulfiqar Khan was advised to give more gate practice before accepting in a race.

ZIP was slow off loosing about two lengths at the start.

TIME WARNER was slowly away FUTURE CALCULATIONS took time to be stalled.

ZIP was sent for veterinary check and certified sound by the Club’s Sr.Veterinary Officer.

Race Reports

Trainer A Saulez and Jockey D Kumar were questioned regarding the running and riding of HIGH RISING.

On questioning Trainer A Saulez he stated that he had instructed the Jockey to take a good jump and go to the front, keep it a close with the field, and use whip and do his best on entering the straight.

On questioning Jockey D Kumar who confirmed the trainers instructions and added that his mount was changing its legs. Not being satisfied with his explanations he was directed o appear before the Stewards along with the Trainer for unsatisfactory riding and the same was deferred to the next meeting.

Subsequent veterinary examinations revealed that the gelding was certified sound by the Club’s Sr.Veterinary Officer.

ASHWA PADDMA threw its head up soon after the jump out as such was slowly away.

Urine sample was taken from the winner SUDARSHAN CHAKRAM in the presence of Trainer Magan Singh and was sent for analytical test.

Jockey R.Parmod (BLACK CHETAK) & Jockey R.Parvesh (SILVER GIRL) reported that their mounts were hanging “in “ and hanging “out” badly inspite of their bests efforts. Trainer Bharat T Singh and I.S.Parmar were advised to take remedial measures before accepting in a race.

On a complaint being lodged by Trainer S.M.Abbas PRIVATE EYE that he was not satisfied with the handling of App. Jockey Arun Kumar (PRIVATE EYE).the Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the same and submit their report at the next meeting.

Urine sample was taken from the winner BLACK CHETAK in the presence of Trainer Bharat T Singh and was sent for analytical test.

Trainer A Khan and Jockey Rajinder were called in and questioned regarding the running and riding of SOUL SATISFACTION.

On questioning Trainer A Khan he stated that he had instructed the Jockey to take a good jump and do his best. He was asked about the observation of the race the trainer stated that the filly was keen to go and he was not satisfied with the jockeys riding.

On questioning the Jockey stated that his mount was hanging in badly on the rails inspite of his best efforts.

Not being satisfied with their explanation the Jockey were directed to appear before the Stewards after the last race.

The Stewards called in and questioned Jockey Rajinder and shown the replay of the race.

After hearing his statements, considering the report of the Stipendiary Stewards and on their own observation of the race the Stewards after due deliberation resolved to fine Jockey Rajinder a sum of Rs.25,000/- for the unsatisfactory riding.

SOUL SATISFACTION & TARRAGONA were sent for veterinary check and certified sound by the Club’s Sr.Veterinary Officer.

Jockey S A Shah (VAGABOND) was called in and questioned regarding his riding .

On questioning Jockey S A Shah stated that he was instructed to sit 2nd/3rd and do his best on entering the straight. He stated that his mount has changed its legs twice and hung out throughout the race inspite of his best efforts, also got interferences on more than one occasion as such he could not ride out fully . The Stipendiary Stewards were not completely satisfied with the explanations, however considering the interferences have closed the enquiry and Trainer A Khan was advised to show his charge in a mock race and to be passed to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before accepting in a race.

Whilst loading PALOMA reared up and fell down behind the Starting Gates , the filly was examined by the Sr. Veterinary Officer and certified fit for race was stalled.

VAGABOND & SIRTICA were sent for veterinary check and certified sound by the Club’s Sr.Veterinary Officer.

	Race Reports Jockey Suresh Kumar (BAIRA) reported at no stage of the race his mount has any speed and he felt that his mount was lame as such he stopped riding at 200 mts and dismounted. Subsequently the horse was destroyed on humanitarian grounds. ENDLESS STRIDES was lame (Left Fore) as such was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order, as recommended Trainer Sukhdish Singh was advised not to accept with his charge till passed fit by the Club’s Sr. Veterinary Officer. In consequence of ENDLESS STRIDE being withdrawn on veterinary grounds a deduction of 10% on win and 20% place bets was announced . AVTAAR was slowly away . Urine sample was taken from the winner SILVER ZARA in the presence of Trainer V.S.Parmar and was sent for analytical test.

GENERAL

1.The Stewards considered the Stipendiary Stewards report into the running and riding and also into the drop of whip on DREAM PROSPECTOR (Drawn 8) in R.NO. 257 THE GREY GASTON PLATE.DIV.I. –on 31ST March ,2008 Trained by Syed H Abbas & Ridden by Suresh Kumar .

The Stipendiary Stewards after interviewing the Jockey and after reviewing the replay of the race fined Jockey Suresh Kumar a sum of Rs.1000/- for the loss of whip (second time) as per the norms and reported to the Stewards for incompetent riding.

The Stewards called in and questioned Jockey Suresh Kumar and showed the replay of the race.

After hearing his statements / letter, considering the report of the Stipendiary Stewards and their own observation based on the replay of the race resolved to suspend Jockey Suresh Kumar for two race days for incompetent riding The suspension dates will be notified later

2.To Stewards considered the Stipendiary Stewards report into the running and riding of TOKAIDO(Drawn 13) in R.NO. 273 THE RAFFLES CUP –on 8TH April, 2008 Trained by K.P.Singh & Ridden by Pawan Sharma .

The Stipendiary Stewards after interviewing the Trainer and the Jockey and after reviewing the replay of the race reported to the Stewards after the last race both Trainer K.P.Singh and Jockey Pawan Sharma. The Stewards called in and questioned Trainer K.P.Singh & Jockey Pawan Sharma and showed the replay of the race.

After hearing their statements, considering the report of the Stipendiary Stewards and their own observation based on the replay of the race resolved to fine Jockey Pawan Sharma a sum of Rs.5000/- for the unsatisfactory riding.

3.The Stewards considered the Stipendiary Stewards report into the running and riding of BEAUTY OF MAN (Drawn 11) in R.NO. 263 THE HARMONY BLITZ TROPHY –on 6TH April, 2008 Trained by S.Nawab & Ridden by Pawan Sharma.

The Stipendiary Stewards after interviewing the Trainer and the Jockey and after reviewing the replay of the race reported both the Trainer and Jockey before the Stewards after the last race.

The Stewards called in and questioned Trainer S.Nawab & Jockey Pawan Sharma and showed the replay of the race.

After hearing their statements, considering the report of the Stipendiary Stewards and their own observation based on the replay of the race resolved to suspend Jockey Pawan Sharma for two race days for the unsatisfactory riding. The dates will be notified later.

4.The Stewards considered the Stipendiary Stewards report into the improved performance of SPICY MOVE (Drawn 1) in R.NO. 257 THE GREY GASTON PLATE.DIV.I. –on 31ST March ,2008 Trained by R.S.Shekhawat & Ridden by G S Shekhawat .

The Stipendiary Stewards after interviewing the Trainer and the Jockey and after reviewing the replay of the reported Trainer R S Shekhawat for breach of Club’s Notification and Jockey G S Shekhawat for feeble riding in Race No.223.

The Stewards called in and questioned Trainer R S.Shekhawat & Jockey G S Shekhawat and showed the replay of the race.

After hearing their statements, considering the report of the Stipendiary Stewards and their own observation based on the replay of the race resolved to fine Jockey G S Shekhawat a sum of Rs.5000/- for his feeble riding in Race No.223 and close the enquiry on Jockey G S Shekhawat.

5.The Stewards considered the Stipendiary Stewards report into the running and riding of NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE (Drawn 8) in R.NO. 257 THE GREY GASTON PLATE.DIV.II. –on 31ST March ,2008 Trained by Anupam Sharma & ridden by App. Jockey Arun Kumar .

The Stipendiary Stewards after interviewing the Trainer and the Jockey and after reviewing the replay of the race reported App. Jockey Arun Kumar before the Stewards for unsatisfactory riding.

The Stewards called in and questioned App. Jockey Arun Kumar and showed the replay of the race.

After hearing his statement, considering the report of the Stipendiary Stewards and their own observation based on the replay of the race the Stewards resolved give the benefit of doubt to the apprentice and cautioned to be more careful in future.
