Approaching 800 mts PARAMOUNT (App.Jockey Irfan Ali) traveling on the rails checked his mount loosing position due to MORE THAN A WOMAN ( S A Shah) on its outside moving in slightly was noted.

Trainer A.Khan and Jockey S A Shah were called in and questioned regarding the running and riding of VAGABOND in race No.286 on 15th April, 2008 . The Stipendiary Stewards stated that in race no.286 the Jockey stated that the horse was hanging in and as such he could not ride out and today under Jockey Rajinder the horse did not hang in throughout the race.

On questioning Jockey S A Shah he stated that in race No.286 his mount was inclined to hang in as such he could not ride out fully. Not being satisfied with the Jockey’s explanation ,after reviewing the concerned races he was fined Rs.3000/- for not making sufficient efforts on his mount and giving misleading statements. He was further warned that repetition of a similar offence would entail severe disciplinary action.

PARAMOUNT and ZAFIR were slowly away.

Urine sample was taken from the winner DOLTON POWER in the presence of Trainer K.Ali Khan and was sent for analytical test.

As Jockey Rajinder was declared medically unfit to ride change of rider was permitted on REAL SCOTCH to Jockey Pawan Sharma.

An objection was lodged by Jockey M.Shahid (AL JAWAT) placed second by the Judge against App. Jockey Sameer Khan ( BARCHETTA) placed first by the Judge for “ taking him out in the last 50 mts from the winning post due to which his mount broke its stride and he could not ride out properly after wards and that cost him a certain race”.

The concerned Jockeys were called in and questioned by the Stewards and showed the replay of the CCTV.

After hearing their statements, considering the report of the Stipendiary Stewards and of their own observation based on the replay of the CCTV the Stewards resolved to overrule the objection and ordered the Security deposit to be refunded.

App. Jockey Sameer Khan (BARCHETTA) was fined Rs.3000/- for not maintain a straight course in the final stages of the race.

Jockey M.Shahid (AL JAWAT) was reported to the Stewards for excessive use of the whip 3rd time and the same was deferred to the next meeting.

The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the running and riding of MINHA CARINA Trained by V S Parmar and ridden by Jockey Ramandeep S Bal and submit their report at their next meeting.

ARCTIC MIST was slow off loosing about one length.

Urine sample was taken from the winner BARCHETTA and in the presence of Trainer Zulfiqar Khan and was sent for analytical test.

VANILLA SKY was withdrawn on veterinary grounds (Lame left fore) as recommended Trainer Irfan Ali was advised not to accept with his charge till passed fit by the Club’s Sr.Veterinary Officer.

On a complaint from Trainer Richpal Singh that his apprentice Jockey K.Sunny Kumar did not follow his instructions on RHAPSODY IN RED and he was not satisfied with his riding. Jockey G S Shekhawat (ASHWA PRATAP) reported that his mount was inclined to hang in inspite of his best efforts. Trainer R S Shekhawat was advised to take remedial measures before accepting in a race.

App.Jockey Irfan Ula Khan (SOUL SATISFACTION) (drawn 10) was severely warned for moving in soon after the jump out thereby causing and crowding to interference to the horses inside.
