In Delhi, Horses Start Taking Beginners Lesson

The dreaded equine Influenza or Pyrixia of unknown origin (PUO), which has been putting stranglehold around the racing fraternity for the last one month, seems to be on its way out at the Delhi Race Club. The horses have been allowed to be given "lunging" from Monday morning. The horses were looking as fit as they were prior to the premature break of the season after the last race held on October 23. The veterinarians are having a close look on the movement of the horses regularly regarding syptoms or any unusual behaviour of them during the session. However, the way the horses have overcome the highly contagious disease, it indicates that they might be allowed for slow work in the "BUND School" by the end of this week. And if the reports are true, they might be able to take up the task of appearing in the track for morning excersise from the first week of December.
