Pyrixia of Unknown Origin (PUO) or Equine Influenza which has become the talk of the Nation ever since it outbroke in October seems to be making its way out at the Delhi Race Club. It is learnt that the veterinarians are supposed to come to a concrete decision about the recovery of the horses from the disease this week. It is noted that the highly contagious disease has not only halted racing in Nothern (Delhi), Eastern (Kolkata) and Western India (Mumbai) but also affected the sports relating to horses - polo and Equestrian meet. Polo season and equestrian meet have already been deffered for an indefinite period in Delhi. Meanwhile, No fresh case of Equine Influenza or PUO have come into notice at the DRC and Army Polo Club. The horses for polo have already been taken on practice at the Nickolson Range. Now, if the horses at the DRC are cleared off the EI or PUO, they will first be kept for slow work on "bund school" for observation and afterwards will be allowed to appear on the track that takes almost three to four days.
