A brilliant turn of foot by Red Reef left the class two contenders dancing to his tune in The Naughty Bear Plate, the main event at the Delhi races on Tuesday. Trainer Ishwar Singh Parmar and jockey Riazuddin were the successful professionals to notch up a double each. Red Reef was termed the day's best galloper by the percentage, but the turf accountants had another way to measure his stamina and that’s why his price was misquoted and the followers found their dream come true. The chestnut horse showed no hurry while chasing the speedy Lilly till the top of the homestretch.

However, before entering into the final furlong of the six-furlong trip, the leader found herself in an awkward position as the son of Classic Tale and Red Rosette just flew away under the guidance of Sameer Khan. The Sangeet Charan-trainee has clocked one of the fastest timings of 1 min 11.56 seconds in this season. And now, with his joining the bandwagon of Real Smasher, Master Blaster and Moongate Man in the top class, Delhites are expected to witness an interesting top-class event in near future. Roaming Fame found the distance a bit sharp before finishing a close third. Manabir Singh-trained Silver Flames' re-galloping tactics bore fruit in the lower division of The Our Volcan Plate, which was the day's opener.

Riazuddin, who rode the aged son of Barood and Illissa, had to hand over the lead to the favourite Ashwa Paddma at the top of the home-straight. But the regular jockey Manbir Singh did not lose heart and instead kept pushing the mount till the distance post, to enable him to earn his overdue win. The Praetorian warmed up late for the runner-up berth ahead of the late-finishing Fiorella. The former should make amends. Ashwa Paddma appeared to have had lost his chances after a lethargic beginning. The upper division of the plate saw Addiction (Ontario – Attire) meeting with success after a gap of season. Foroozan, who occupied the second position, should soon strip fitter.

Ishwar Singh Parmar's charge Firecracker (Libor – Star Celebrity) caused an upset in The Pelican bay Plate. Nonios and Bay Of Thunder (who was in receipt of a heavy penalty for his Monday's performance) were seen being active late for the second and third place respectively. Both have the calibre to taste win before the closure of the season. Overcoming the mishap of interference she received on Monday, Ashwa Prabha (Bernstein - Ishouldabet) had an excellent gallop to the victory in The Nawaasi Plate. Valour once again faltered and finished second for the third consecutive time.

Revengeful Knight and Game Of Talent found the five-furlong distance too short for their stature and finished third and fourth respectively. Getting the advantage of open wide gap between the rails and Master Crown before the curve, Dazzling Cracker (Mambo Minstrel – Cracker) slipped through to shed her maiden status. Riazuddin, who was in the saddle of the victor, was so confident that he hardly did anything to help Dazzling Cracker who easily won with a massive margin against Master Of Illusion in the Our Replica Plate.
