Jockey Rajinder is shaping up well in Delhi. On Monday, he piloted Moongate Man, who demolished the field en route to lift the Bolrace.com Cup. In fact, Rajinder was the lone successful professional to earn double at the Delhi races on that day.Sending every horse to the front and getting cashed-in on is part of the extraordinary strategy that Rajinder has developed and undoubtedly, none has got such calibre in the Delhi circuit. On Monday, both his wins came through in the same manner. The beginners (apprentice) should definitely learn some basics from the legend who is inching closer to the 1000th win. The son of Steinbeck and Stream of Love, Moongate Man made a quick dash to lead but was not allowed to run freely by Dazzling Wise and Mysterio till the top of the homestretch of the five-furlong competition. Rajinder, then, simply urged the mighty grey to quicken and the rest found themselves in awkward position. Skyros, who started off with the grey before being bundled back, warmed up only inside the distance to occupy the runner-up berth ahead of Dazzling Wise.

Moongate Man will now set his sights for a hat-trick. Earlier, in the same fashion, Rajinder took control over the field through Air Forse One to dictate terms in the seven-furlong Administration Plate. Interestingly, the margin of the Rajinder-ridden favourite chestnut filly out of Bee’s Prospector and Gypsy Moth was the same with which Moongate Man measured under the class three field. Huge Price and Resilience found struggling to even cope up with the pace before finishing second and third respectively. The senior division of The Old Secretariat Plate saw the favourite Pommery allow Heavenly Angel (Barood-Back From Heaven) and Flying Cat to call the shots despite making a quick break.

The mare finished third under apprentice jockey Sandeep Rajput. Flying Cat, who took a sluggish start, should make amends. The run of the public-fancied loser should be ignored. The lower division of the plate saw Varun (Serious Spender-Song Of Freedom) meeting with an overdue victory after a gap of a season. Bleeding through nostrils came as a stopper for Happygolucky, who looked stronger in lead inside the final furlong. K Ali Khan's El Sharara, who had developed fitness problem after the last outing, bounced back strongly to run against his nature in The Civil Lines Plate.

After taking the baton from the early leader Alabaster (who finished third), the son of Classic Tale and Whistling Sport established such a huge lead that Warrior Race's late surge could not affect his lap of victory. However, Warrior Race should not hold the maiden status any longer particularly over the longer distance. S M Abbas's trainee Courage Under Fire (Major Impact-Stylish Bird) brought the curtain down by putting things beyond the reach of the rest after assuming command at the corner of the curve. The Mafia, with lesser work, managed to get the next best seat by pipping Dream Debut and Sultan Mirza.
