Racing Incidents
STAR GRIP (C P Manasseh) & HIGHLY FASHIONABLE (M Nareddu) were slow off losing about one and two lengths respectively. STAR GRIP (C P Manasseh) veered out onto the outer rails soon after the start, refusing to raise a gallop, taking no practical part in the race. Tr. E Bhungard has been advised to show his charge to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race before next accepting with it. Jockey M Reuben, the rider of the winner ITALIAN AFFAIR, was fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/- for veering in immediately after the start, crowding and causing interference to EVEREADY SIR (App Afzal Khan), BETELGEUSE (Rajinder), PROSPECTIVE PRINCE (Gajender Singh) and ANNIVERSARY BOY (App Md. Shabbani). The rider was further warned to ensure that such lapses do not occur in future failing which he would be liable to such disciplinary action as deemed fit.
