Racing Incidents
An objection was lodged by Jockey D K Ashish, the rider of LYCIA FALCON placed 2nd by the Judge against FORCES OF DESTINY (Vijay Kumar), placed 1st by the Judge on the grounds of “causing interference when he came in very sharply approaching the 200 metres which cost me a certain race”. Further an objection was lodged by Jockey C Alford, the rider of ARISTOTLE, placed 3rd by the Judge against Jockey Vijay Kumar, the rider of FORCES OF DESTINY, placed 1st by the Judge on the grounds of “causing interference when he came in very sharply in the last 150 metres whereby I had to stop riding which cost me a certain race". Having considered the evidence tendered by Jockeys C Alford, D K Ashish and Vijay Kumar, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards, viewing the replay of the race on the CCTV and acting on their own observation of the race, the Stewards resolved to over-rule the objections lodged by Jockeys D K Ashish and C Alford, the Judge’s placings remaining unaltered.
