Racing Incidents
An objection was lodged by Jockey Pawan Sharma, the rider of FIRING POWER placed 2nd against App B Mahesh, the rider of MYSTRO placed 1st by the Judge on the grounds of “interference in that he was bored out in the final 200 metres specially in the last 50 metres taking his ground, causing him to check and this cost him a certain race”. The Stewards considered the evidence tendered by Jockey Pawan Sharma and App B Mahesh and in conjunction with the views expressed by the Stipendiary Stewards, viewing the replay of the race on the CCTV and acting on their own observations of the race, resolved to over-rule the objection. The Judge’s placings remain unaltered.
