Racing Incidents
AXIOLOGY (App Md. Sameer) arrived late to the starting gate thereby delaying the start of the race. b g FOCUS (B Mahesh) was very fractious and despite repeated attempts refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn with the permission of the Stewards before coming under Starter’s orders. The Starting Stall Certificate of FOCUS has been revoked by the Starter. FISH PILOT (M A Gallagher) stumbled soon after jumping out of the gates. Approaching the 800 metres FISH PILOT (M A Gallagher) travelling along the rails was checked by its rider and lost ground when SECRET WHISPERS (App Shezad Khan) shifted ‘inwards’. At a subsequent enquiry App Shezad Khan was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift ‘inwards’ when not adequately clear of the other runner. Further, the apprentice was advised to report to Mr. N W Bird, the Jockey Coach for appropriate advice. App Mohit Singh, the rider of SOLID SUCCESS, was reprimanded for failing to maintain a straight course in the final 200 metres of the race. The Veterinary Officer reported that APOSTROPHE returned with a cut injury on its right hind canon. G E N E R A L 1.
