ADIYNARA (App Ajoy Roy) and LEONIDAS (Imran Khan) were fractious while being stalled.

Jockey Imran Khan, the rider of b g LEONIDAS,  when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that he was instructed  to be positioned 3^rd/ 4^th and to do his best on entering the straight.  However, due to the slow pace in the early and middle stages of the race he found himself positioned further back than he intended to and on entering the straight despite his best efforts the gelding failed to respond adequately.  The Stipendiary Stewards after repeatedly viewing the CCTV replay in the presence of the jockey informed him that in this instance he was being given the benefit of doubt and should he in future ride in a similar manner, he would be charged for injudicious riding.  Tr. Shafiq Khan was informed of the Stipendiary Stewards opinion and was advised to be explicit while instructing his riders in future.   The gelding was impounded for veterinary and clinical examinations.  On examination the Veterinary Officer reported that no ailment was noticed.  The trainer was advised to keep his charge under observation and report ailment, if any.
