Mr. F A Rodrigues (Jr), the trainer of b f EMPRESS OF PERSIA (App Vikash Tamang), when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his charge, stated that he had instructed the rider to place the horse in a convenient position as judged by him and to avoid using the whip indiscriminately as the filly is gradually recovering from an earlier set back.  He was further of the opinion that his charge may perform better when raced over a longer distance.  App Vikash Tamang when questioned corroborated the instructions of the trainer.  The Stipendiary Stewards informed the trainer that his charge should run in such a manner that leaves no room for query.
