PROMISORY NOTE (Imran Chisty) was fractious while being stalled thereby delaying the start of the race.

FASCINATING (Gajender Singh) was slow to begin losing approximately two lengths at the start.

Approaching the distance post EMPRESS OF PERSIA (App Vikash Tamang) galloping on the wide outside was inconvenienced  when GONNA BE A ROKSTAR (Md Islam) under pressure drifted ‘outwards’.  Jockey Md Islam was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course.

Passing the distance post ANDROMEDA (Kishore Kadam) under pressure drifted ‘outwards’.

During the final stages of the race CANDLE IN THE WIND (P Trevor) which was making progress on the rails was checked by its rider and was momentarily unbalanced when YAMLAPAGLADEEWANA (Afzal Khan) shifted ‘inwards’.  At a subsequent enquiry both jockeys were interviewed and after due deliberations Jockey Afzal Khan was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for failing to maintain a straight course.

Tr. C Gleich when afforded an opportunity to explain the poor performance of his charge ANDROMEDA, stated that his charge was running for the first time with blinkers ‘on’ and was expected to perform well as the filly had shown a lot of speed with the blinkers ‘on’ during the morning track trials.  He further stated that he would keep the filly under observation and report ailment, if any.
