EROS (App Vikash Tamang) dislodged its rider on the way to the start. On being recaptured was examined by the Veterinary Officer allowed to start.

EROS (App Vikash Tamang), SARTAJ (App Arman Khan) and GOOD ONE (App Zarar Alam) were slow to begin.

AVISION (Shailesh Shinde) brushed against the false rails  approaching the 800 metres.

Jockey Md Islam, the rider of DANCE IN CHINA, was fined a sum of Rs. 1000/- for the excessive use of the whip (1^st offence).

Tr. D M David when afforded an opportunity to explain the performance and running pattern  of his charge b g SARTAJ as compared to its previous run in Race No 140 held on 22^nd January, 2013 stated that the gelding in its previous run when rated 06 had beaten a horse rated 01.  The gelding had now raced  with a rating of 22 and competed with horses of much higher rating, the lowest being Rated at 19, as such the performance of the gelding was not upto expectation.  With regard to the pattern of running, he had instructed the rider to keep the gelding in mid bunch as it was now traversing over a distance of 1600 metres as compared to 1400 metres and further was carrying an impost of 61 kgs.  The Stipendiary Stewards while noting his explanation advised the trainer that he must ensure that his horses run in a consistent pattern failing which he would not be given the benefit  of doubt in future.
