HIGH TIDE (Md Islam) was fractious while being stalled.

GOOD ONE (K Deepesh)  and BATTLEAXE (Afzal Khan) were slow to begin.

In a tightly packed field approaching the 700 metres PASSPORT (Kishore Kadam) stumbled when running into the heels of SWISS KING (App Md Javed).  At a subsequent enquiry it was established that the incident was accidental, as such no action was taken beyond noting it.

Jockey M Krishna, the rider of ETERNAL INSTINCT, when questioned regarding his riding in the final 200 metres of the race stated that he was instructed by the trainer as far as possible  to desist  from using the whip and that he rode the filly with hands and heels to the best of his ability.  On questioning, Tr. R Gowli corroborated his instructions to the jockey and expressed his view that his charge did not take kindly to the use of the whip.  Their explanations were noted.

Tr. Bath when asked to explain the improved performance of his charge b m SECRET GLOSS as compared to its previous run in Race No 157 on 29^th January, 2013 stated that his charge unfortunately was slow to begin in Race No. 157, however, on this occasion performed well when taking a good start and thereafter could give no other plausible explanation.  The Stipendiary Stewards not being satisfied with  the trainer’s explanation decided to enquire further into the matter.

App Vikash Tamang, the rider of  SECRET GLOSS, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/- for excessive use of the whip (1^st offence).

Jockey K Deepesh, the rider of  GOOD ONE, reported loss of his whip soon after the start.   

App B Srinivas Rao, the rider of SUCCESSFUL, reported loss of his whip approaching the 300 metres.

The Veterinary Officer reported that PASSPORT returned bleeding from both nostrils.  Tr. D M David was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
