The Stipendiary Stewards reported to the Stewards :-

1. Jockey Surjeet Singh for the unsatisfactory riding (Rule 161(ii) of his mount b g FLYING STAR i.e. in that  between the 600 metres marker till passing the distance post his riding effort to bring his mount into a position of contention was inadequate.
2. Mr. Patrick Quinn, the trainer of b g FLYING STAR for the unsatisfactory running of his charge and further for his conduct in the weighing room after the preliminary enquiry by the Stipendiary Stewards. 

The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed both Jockey Surjeet Singh and Tr. Patrick Quinn.  The Stewards not being satisfied with the explanations tendered by them resolved to :-

1. Fine Jockey Surjeet Singh a sum of Rs. 5,000/- for unsatisfactory riding of his mount.  The jockey was informed of his right to appeal.
2. Fine Tr. Patrick Quinn a sum of Rs. 10,000/- for unsatisfactory running of his charge FLYING STAR, and;

c)Fine Tr. Patrick Quinn a sum of Rs. 10,000/- for conduct unbecoming of a professional.  The trainer was informed of his right to appeal.
