COMBINED OPERATIONS (App Arman Khan), ANGELS QUEST (Amandeep Singh) and MY BOY LOLLIPOP (Md Islam) were fractious in their respective stalls.

ZOFFANY (App Vikash Tamang) and COMBINED OPERATION (App Arman Khan) were  slow to begin.

Subsequent to the hoisting of the “all clear” signal App Vikash Tamang the rider of  dk bm  ZOFFANY reported that his mount was momentarily inconvenienced when the starting gate of his stall (drawn 3) on opening rebounded on to the mare thereby inconveniencing it and this was the reason why he was unable to better position the mare during the early stages of the race.  The Stipendiary Stewards after reviewing the CCTC replay of the race confirmed the incident as reported by the Apprentice.  Further the Trainer and Owner in a written statement to the Stipendiary Stewards requested them to enquire into the riding of the apprentice as they were not satisfied.   The Stipendiary Stewards on further scrutiny of the CCTV replay and after interviewing the apprentice were of the opinion that no Rules of Racing were infringed by the Apprentice.

Trainer D.M. David when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge dk b f CIDER WITH ROSIE the winner of this race as compared to its previous run in Race No. 20 run on 30th July, 2013 over 1400 mtrs stated that the filly performs its best when run over a shorter distance.  Further its competitors in this race were of mediocre ability except for ZOFFANY which in his opinion ran below expectations.  While noting his explanation the Stipendiary Stewards advised Tr. D.M. David to run his charges over distances to which they are best suited so that they may perform with a degree of consistency.
