For failing to produce the registered colours at the scale in respect of his charge HAPPY KINGDOM, Tr. Rodrigues Jr. was fined a sum of Rs. 325/-.  Subsequently the emergency colour ‘ALL BLACK’ was permitted to be used.

HAPPY KINGDOM (Surjeet Singh), AMBAA (Mohit Singh)  and YAMLAPAGLADEEWANA (App Jorawar Singh) were fractious in their respective stalls.

PERSIAN JEWELS (I Khan) was slow to begin.

Approaching the 700 metres marker gr f SILVER WIZARD (C Alford) which was racing with its head held high received a check and lost some ground when AMBAA (Mohit Singh) shifted ‘inwards’.  At a subsequent enquiry both jockeys were interviewed and shown the CCTV replay of the race and Jockey Mohit Singh, was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for shifting ‘in’ for no apparent reason when not adequately clear of the other runner.  Thereafter, SILVER WIZARD was observed to run an erratic course despite the best efforts of the Jockey to keep it on an even course and finished off the race detached from the field.  Jockey C Alford when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that for the greater part of the race he had no control over his mount and she was inclined to throw her head up and veer ‘outwards’.  Tr. Vijay Singh when given an opportunity to explain the running of his charge stated that during morning trials the filly had a tendency to over do herself but had shown no inclination to behave in the manner that she exhibited in this race and that he would take remedial measures in her future run.  The Sr. Veterinary Officer reported that on examination the filly was found to have “sharp molars on both sides which are mildly painful”.  The Stipendiary Stewards while noting the explanations of the trainer advised him not to accept with his charge in a race till such time she performs to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race and her dental report from the Sr. Veterinary Officer is placed before the Stipendiary Stewards.
