DEVIL IN DISGUISE (Kishore Kadam) and CONQUERABLE (Abhishek Habbu) were slow to begin.

Approaching the 900 metres in a slow run race DEVIL IN DISGUISE (Kishore Kadam) and GREASED LIGHTNIN (Shailesh Shinde) made contact with each other. 

Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of her charge ch g GREASED LIGHTNIN (Shailesh Shinde), stated that no specific instructions were given to the jockey other than to be well positioned thoroughout the race.  She further stated that in an extremely slow run race  the gelding was held in restrain for far too long which may have disappointed the gelding and hence the poor performance.  Other than this she could give no other plausible explanation.  Jockey Shailesh Shinde corroborated the trainer’s instructions and stated that in spite of his efforts his mount failed to perform better.  The Stipendiary Stewards while noting the explanations, informed Ms. Arti Doctor to keep her charge under observation and report ailment, if any.

Jockey Abhishek Habbu, the rider of CONQUERABLE, was reprimanded in the presence of Tr. S S Habbhu, for failing to improve his position during the middle stages of the race when he had opportunity to do so.  Tr. Habbu was advised to ensure that his charges run in such a manner that leaves no room for query.

Jockey Vinay Jaiswal, the rider of RIVERDOWN EMPRESS, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip (1^st offence).
