For running his charge BURST OF STARDUST in shoes other than those declared, Tr. R W Alford was fined a sum of Rs. 500/-.

RITHAMBHRA (App Rajinder Singh) was fractious while being stalled.

TOUGH ONE (Afzal Khan) was slow to begin.

CEE FOUR (Gajender Singh, drawn 1) jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ from the gates.

ICONIC (Shrikant Kamble, drawn 3) was inconvenienced when BRANGELINA (Shezad Khan, drawn 2) jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ from the gates.

Jockey Shrikant Kamble, the rider of ICONIC, when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that he was instructed to position his mount wherever possible during the early stages of the race and thereafter to do his best.  However, in spite of his best efforts the gelding refused to accelerate during any stage of the race.  On questioning, Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor corroborated the instructions and stated that the poor performance of the gelding was possibly due to the humid climatic condition prevailing during the race and could give no other plausible explanation for the performance.  The Stipendiary Stewards while noting their explanations advised the trainer to keep her charge under observation and report ailment, if any.  Further, the Stipendiary Stewards informed the trainer that in future they would be keeping a watchful eye on the performance of her charges.
