Tr. Ms.  Arti Doctor reported to the Stipendiary Stewards that she was disappointed with the riding of App Md. Javed on her charge  TINTORETTO (App Md Javed)  who had been instructed to place the gelding at the head of the field from the start of the race and if on being challenged by any other rider for that position he was  then only  allowed to surrender the lead.  However, the rider made no effort to ride as instructed and that it was clearly visible in the CCTV that the apprentice restrained the animal from galloping freely from the very start of the race.  At a subsequent enquiry App Md. Javed corroborated the trainer’s instructions and could give no plausible explanation as to why he rode contrary to the instructions of the trainer.  Consequently App Md. Javed was fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/- for making no effort to follow the trainer’s instructions.

Jockey Shailesh Shinde, the rider of MASSACHUSETTES, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip (1^st offence).
