A’MA SHUKUM (Surjeet Singh, drawn 4), YEREVAN (Shailesh Shinde, drawn 5) and ABRIENDA (App Munna Alam, drawn 6) made contact with each other soon after the start.

Tr. Manvendra Singh when questioned regarding the poor performance of his charge b f YEREVAN (Shailesh Shinde) stated that the filly returned bleeding profusely from its mouth which may have affected its performance, other than that he could give no other plausible explanation for the poor performance of his charge. On questioning the Jockey stated that he was instructed to go to the front but despite his best efforts the filly could not make any progress. The Stipendiary Stewards noted their explanations. At a subsequent examination the Veterinary Officer reported that the filly returned from the race with a cut injury on its upper gum.
