FLYING BOY (Vinay Jaiswal) and IRON LADY (Imran Chisty) were fractious while being stalled.Approaching the 600 metres ICE FANTASY (Shailesh Shinde) travelling along the rails was momentarily checked by its rider and lost some ground when KWAN YIN (Sandeep Rajput) shifted ‘inwards’.

Tr. Vijay Singh when afforded an opportunity to explain the performance of his charge b f SCARTELLA (C Alford), stated that this was the first outing of the filly in this season he had instructed the jockey to place his charge in a handy 3rd/4th position in the early stages of the race and to do his best on entering the straight. He further stated that he was satisfied with the performance of his charge, however, in his opinion the jockey made a minor error in that when approaching the distance post he attempted to make progress along the inner rails which resulted in the filly being momentarily denied a clear run. On questioning the jockey corroborated the trainer’s view of the race. The Stipendiary Stewards took note of their explanations.

The Veterinary Officer reported that SCARTELLA and GOLIATH returned with bleeding cut injuries on their left and right hinds respectively.
