b g ANCIENT WONDER, a declared starter in the above race was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Tuesday, 19th August, 2014 and found to be suffering from pyrexia (temperature). Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. S S Habbu was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

MALPENSA (Md Islam) was fractious while being stalled.

ANDREUS (Shailesh Shinde) kept an erratic course for some distance after the start.

Jockey Vinay Jaiswal, the rider of STAR SYMPHONY, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/- for the improper use of the whip in the final 400 metres of the race in that he repeatedly struck the gelding on its shoulder and neck in the fore hand position. He was further informed that should be continue to use the whip in a similar manner, he would be reported to the Stewards for appropriate action.

The Veterinary Officer reported that STAR EMPIRE returned bleeding from both nostrils. Tr. Patrick Quinn was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

The Veterinary Officer reported that MALPENSA returned to the unsaddling enclosure without its right fore shoe.
