BENGAL KING (Sameer Khan) was slow to begin.

Jockey Nelson Maseyk, the rider TORCH OF LIFE which raced wide off the field throughout the race, reported that in spite of his best efforts his mount hung ‘out’. In view of its behaviour Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race and further that the Stipendiary Stewards will closely monitor the running of his charges in future.

App Zarar Alam, the rider of HOME ALONE, was reprimanded in the presence of Tr. Patrick Quinn for the indifferent handling of his mount in the early and middle stages of the race. The apprentice was informed that should he continue to ride in a similar fashion, he would be reported to the Stewards for appropriate action.

Jockey Sameer Khan, the rider of ch g BENGAL KING, was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for his failure to adequately persevere with his riding in the final 400 metres of the race. Mr. Shafiq Khan, the trainer of the gelding, was advised to ensure that his charges are ridden in such manner that leaves no room for query.

The Veterinary Officer reported that ARROW IN AUTO MODE returned lame on right hind.

On the morning of Thursday, 21st August, 2014, WAR GAMES was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be lame on left hind. Tr. Javed Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
