I COMMAND (Gajender Singh) was examined by the Veterinary Officer at the Starting Gates and found to be lame on its left fore. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

SECRET BLAST (Vinay Jaiswal) was slow to begin losing about 3 to 4 lengths. Trainer Vikash Jaiswal was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.

Trainer Ms Arti Doctor when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of her charge COMMELINA (C Alford) stated that she was disappointed with its poor performance and informed that she used Blinkers on the filly as advised by Jockey Arshad Alam who rode her in its previous outing. However, jockey C Alford was of the opinion that the filly was not comfortable with blinkers ‘on’, other than this she could give no other plausible explanation for the poor performance of her charge. The filly was impounded for veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Officer reported that on examination no ailment was noticed.
