An enquiry was held after the last race into the running and riding of dk b g MISTER POSITIVE, trained by Mr. Vikash Jaiswal and ridden by Jockey Sandeep Rajput. At the conclusion of the enquiry, Jockey Sandeep Rajput was found guilty of unsatisfactory riding (Rule 161(ii)) in that during the concluding stages of the race (approximately 50 metres from the winning post) when in clear running he alerted his mount to its task very late i.e., only when challenged by the eventual winner thereby putting into question the eventual result of the race. The Stewards when deciding on the penalty took into consideration the record of the rider, the other mitigating circumstances and decided to suspend him from riding in races from Saturday, 4th October to Sunday, 9th November, 2014 (both days inclusive). Jockey Sandeep Rajput was informed of his right to appeal and was permitted to ride work.
