RESOLUTION (App Hindu Singh) was fractious while being stalled.

SMOKEY BABA (Arman Khan) was slow to begin losing approximately two lengths at the start.

Some distance after the start SHIVALIK SHAKTI (Mohit Singh) was inconvenienced when MAJOR COLOURS (Surjeet Singh) shifted ‘outwards’. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Surjeet Singh was shown the CCTV replay of the race and advised to exercise greater control over his mounts.

When afforded an opportunity to explain the running of GORGEOUS GIRL (App Munna Alam) which graced the rear of the field during the early and middle stages of the race, Tr. S S Habbu stated that he had instructed the apprentice to position his charge in 3rd/4th position during the early and middle stages and that he was disappointed to see his charge gracing the rear of the field. App Munna Alam when questioned corroborated the trainer’s instructions and stated that the filly was lacking in early speed in spite of his best efforts. The Stipendiary Stewards after viewing the CCTV replay of the race in the presence of the trainer and the rider and not being satisfied with the explanation of App Munna Alam decided to fine him a sum of Rs. 5,000/- for not making adequate attempt in the early and middle stages of the race to place his mount in a position as instructed by the trainer. Further he was cautioned that should he ride in a similar manner in future he would be reported to the Stewards for appropriate action.
