Racing Incidents |
---|
It was observed during the running of the race that the saddle of NEVER APART (App Jorawar Singh) had shifted forward passing the 600 metres and as such the apprentice was unable to ride his mount to advantage. Tr. Javed Khan was fined Rs. 500/- for faulty saddling and was advised of his responsibility to ensure that his charges are saddled properly in future. Jockey B Mahesh, the rider of HEAD HUNTER, was severely reprimanded for failing to take adequate measures to prevent his mount from shifting ‘outwards’ when placing it under pressure with whip during the final 200 metres of the race. Tr. Jasbir Singh when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge SHIVALIK SHAKTI (Mohit Singh) as compared to its previous outing in Race No. 128 run on 24th September, 2014 stated that in Race No. 128 the first three placed horses were younger horses (3/4 yr olds) and the older horses which placed 4th and downwards including SHIVALIK SHAKTI finished within two and a half lengths each other. Further, in today’s race the 2nd placed horse SKYWAY (Sameer Khan) had run behind SHIVALIK SHAKTI in Race No. 73 during the current Monsoon Season. He continued by adding that the favourite in today’s race was unable to be ridden to advantage by its rider as his saddle had shifted forward passing the 600 metres. All these factors went in favour of his charge SHIVALIK SHAKTI winning today’s race. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanations. |
