Approaching the 900 metres BIRTHDAY BOY (App Jorawar Singh) travelling along the rail was repeatedly checked by its rider and lost some ground when SREEMOHINI (App Zarar Alam) shifted ‘inwards’. At a subsequent enquiry held after the last race App Zarar Alam along with his master Mr. Patrick Quinn were interviewed by the Stewards. After due deliberations taking into consideration the views expressed by App Zarar Alam and App Jorawar Singh, the rider of BIRTHDAY BOY, the Stewards found App Zarar Alam guilty of careless riding under Rule 161(i) of the Rules of Racing in that when approaching the 900 metres he did not take adequate corrective measures to prevent his mount
from shifting ‘in’ thereby causing severe interference to BIRTHDAY BOY travelling along the rails and, therefore, decided to suspend App Zarar Alam from riding in races on 1st, 9th, 15th & 22nd November, 2014. The apprentice was informed of his right to appeal.

The Veterinary Officer reported that GONNA BE A ROCKSTAR and LA DOMINIQUE returned lame on their left fore and right hind respectively. Trs. Vikash Jaiswal and Rutherford Alford were informed not to accept with their respective charges until passed fit by the Veterinary Officer.
