Racing Incidents

For running his charge SUGAR SWEET (B Mahesh) with shoes other than those declared, Tr. Patrick Quinn was fined a sum of Rs. 500/-.

Jockey Md. Imran when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount INSIDER stated that as instructed by the trainer he had placed his mount at the head of the field, however, the gelding could not hold its position and started dropping back approaching the 600 metres of the race. Further, on entering the straight his mount did not respond to his urgings and finished the race detached from the field. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanation.

The Veterinary Officer reported that :-

a) INSIDER returned with a cut injury on right hind.

b) COMBINED OPERATION returned to the unsaddling enclosure without its right hind shoe.
