SCARTELLA (C Alford) was fractious in its stall.

SHOURISHA (P Kamlesh) and AFRAH (Sahanawaz) were slow to begin.

When afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount Jockey P Kamlesh, the rider of SHOURISHA, stated that his mount which was slow to begin was denied a clear run approaching the distance post when he attempted a passage between STAND APART and BLACK CAVIOUR resulting in him checking his mount and shifting towards the inner rails. He continued by stating that his mount would have performed very much better had it not been denied a clear run. The Stipendiary Stewards after viewing the CCTV replay of the race in the presence of the Jockey decided to take note of his explanation.

Tr. Manvendra Singh when queried as to the improved performance of his charge COHIBA (P Trevor) as compared to its previous run in Race No. 50 stated that in Race No. 50 despite not having the best of a run in the home stretch his charge finished approximately three lengths behind the winner and continued by stating that the colt had maintained form between the two runs. The Stipendiary Stewards accepted his explanation.
