Racing Incidents

SELF DIRECTED (App Munna Alam, drawn 1) which was slow to begin was momentarily inconvenienced when DAKOTA DREAMER (P Trevor, drawn 2) jumped awkwardly ‘inwards’.

IRON LADY (A Sandesh) which was fractious in its stall was slow to begin.

Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of her charge ch g SOLITARY EAGLE as compared to its run in Race No. 53 on 2nd December, 2014 where it placed off board, stated that :-

a) The gelding disappointed the stable with its performance in Race No. 53. Thereafter “Blinkers” were put on.

b) Further on the Jockey’s advice the gelding was raced over a longer trip i.e., 1400 metres as compared to 1100 metres in its previous run.

The Stipendiary Stewards while noting her explanation advised the trainer to ensure that her charges are run with a degree of consistency.

The Veterinary Officer reported that SELF DIRECTED returned with a cut injury on left hind.
