At an enquiry held into the pattern of running of b g HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE ridden by Jocke y Gajender Singh , trainer Mr. Vikash Jaiswal stated that he had instructed Mr. Gajender Singh to go to the front on jumping out from the gates and continue to hold that position at a regulated pace of not more than three to four lengths ahead of the field . He continued stating that he was most perturbed that the rider had not followed or attempted to follow his instructions but had taken a unduly long lead of more than a distance in the early and middle stages of the race. Mr. Gajender Singh when inte rviewed and shown the CCTV replay of the race could give no plausible explation for his fail ure to comply with the trainer’s instructions.

The Stipendiary Stewards being satisfied that Mr. Gajender Singh had made no adequate attempt to follow the trainer’ s instructions decided to fine him a sum of Rs. 15,000/ - . The Veterinary Officer reported that HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE (Gajender Singh) returned to the unsaddling enclosure lame on right fore. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed not to accept with his charge unt il certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
