AASHIQUI (Md. Shabbani) and SIGNIFICANT (Sk Israil) were fractious while being stalled.

FLYING STAR (App Sarvan Kumar) was fractious in its stall.

Mr. F A Rodrigues, the trainer of ADORA, when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his charge, stated that he had instructed Jokey D K Ashish to take a good start and place the mare in the best possible position during the early stages and to do his best thereafter . To a question as to why he had removed the blinkers from the mare in this race , esp ecially since it had performed well in its previous outing with the blinker s ‘ON’ , the trainer stated that in its prevous outing w ith blinkers ‘ON ’ the mare behaved unruly while being loaded in its stall and at one stage he was afraid of it being declared a “non starter”. In this current race he was pleased that the mare had not behaved unruly while being stalled but was disappointed with its perfo rmance during the race . On questioning Jockey D K Ashish corroborated the trainer’s riding instructions and stated that he was unable to ride his mount to advantage in the early stages as he was squeezed for room between ROYAL SCOTS (Md Islam) and BUCHARE ST (Afzal Khan) some distance after the start . Thereafter the mare did not race as expected. The Stipendiary Stewards noted their explanations.
