ARTESIA (C Alford) was fractious in its stall.

During a preliminary enquiry held individually with trainer Mr. Farley Rodrigues and Jockey P S Chouhan into the running and riding of b m AGATTA with particular reference to the final stages of the race, Mr. Chouhan among the other statements he made, opined that he was fortunate to have won the race but for which he would have been in a serious position with the regulators and requested the Stipendiary Stewards to enquire into the information he had received that the mare had not been exercised for a number of days prior to the running of the race. The Stipendiary Stewards decided to continue the enquiry and the result would be published at a later date.
