SNOW WHITE (Dashrath Singh), JASSI’S STAR (B Nikhil) and JAMAICAN (Md Islam) were fractious in their respective stalls.
TEMPLE RUN (Shezad Khan) jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ from the gates.

Some distance after the start CONQUEST (App Jorawar Singh) travelling along the rails was checked by its rider and lost ground when JAMAICAN (Md Islam) shifted ‘inwards’. The check received by CONQUEST was further compounded when ALONDRA (App Hindu Singh) making progress towards the rails from its outside draw shifted ‘in’ and carried JAMAICAN further on to CONQUEST. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Md. Islam and App Hindu Singh were shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- each for shifting ground ‘inwards’ when not sufficiently clear of the other runner.

Tr. C Gleich when queried into the improved performance of his charge ch g JASSI’S STAR placed 2nd by the Judge as compared to its previous run in Race No. 61 run over 1400 metres stated that :-

a) The terms of the race was for “Non winners” and hence the standard of today’s runners was comparatively weak.

b) His charge had mostly run on board in its previous outings except in Race No. 61 and that the gelding performed better when raced in a smaller field.

c) The gelding’s form when compared to b g JAMAICAN, placed third in this race, was consistent.

The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanations.

The Veterinary Officer reported that :-

a) SNOW WHITE returned with a cut injury on right hind.

b) LUCK LUCK LUCKY returned with lame on its right fore. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
