Racing Incidents

VERENA ROSE, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer prior to the parade of starters in the paddock and found to be lame on right fore. Under the circumstances the filly was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Shafiq Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

SO REGAL (C Alford) and JACQUALINE POSTILL (Rajinder Singh) were fractious while being stalled.

COMEDIAN (Md Imran) was slow to begin.

Approaching the 800 metre marker ch f CASPER THE GHOST (P Trevor) travelling on the outside was inconvenienced when WORDS (App Ranidan Singh) travelling on the filly’s inside shifted ‘outwards’ for no apparent reason. At a subsequent enquiry App Ranidan Singh was shown the CCTV replay of the race and cautioned for changing course when not adequately clear of the other runner.

Passing the distance post CASPER THE GHOST (P Trevor) travelling on the middle of the course was momentarily inconvenienced when SO REGAL (C Alford) shifted ‘outwards’.

App Jorawar Singh, the rider of PASSIONATE, reported loss of whip passing the distance post.
