OATH OF VALOUR (Sk Zaffar Riaz) which was extremely fractious while being stalled was slow to begin.

In view of the behaviour trainer Mr. Javed Khan was advised not to accept with his charge until it was shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

FIRE FALCON (Sandeep Rajput) was slow to begin losing approximately four lengths at the start. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was advised not to accept with his charge until it was shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Md. Imran and trainer Vikas Jaiswal the rider and trainer of b c DAYAVAN to the Stewards for unsatisfactory riding and running of the colt under rule 161 (ii). In that when in clear running, Jockey Md. Imran restrained his mount from improving its position in the early and middle stages of the race also for negotiating the bend wide for no apparent reason and for failing when in clear running to infuse adequate vigour to his riding in the concluding stages of the race. The Stewards interviewed Trainer Vikas Jaiswal, who stated that he was totally satisfied in the manner in which his charge DAYAVAN has been handled by the rider and he was happy that his other runner in the race SAUDAGAR the public favourite had won the race. Jockey Md. Imran when questioned, retracted his earlier statements made to the Stipendiary Stewards and stated that he had ridden the colt to the best of his ability. The Stewards not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by the trainer and jockey decided to:-

a) Fine Tr. Vikash Jaiswal a sum of Rs. 50,000/- for the unsatisfactory running of his charge and advised him to ensure that every horse under his charge running in a race is run on its merits. Mr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed of his right to appeal.
b) Suspend Jockey Md. Imran from riding in races from 1st March to 22nd March, 2016 for unsatisfactory riding under Rule 161(ii). Mr. Md Imran was informed of his right to appeal.
