Racing Incidents

THEO (App Hindu Singh) and YAMAZAKI (Neeraj Rawal) were slow to begin.

An enquiry was held immediately after the running of the race with particular reference to the fall of YAMAZAKI (Neeraj Rawal) approaching the 1200 metres. At the conclusion of the enquiry it was established that the fall was accidental in that the colt when in clear running and poitioned at the rear of the field shied ‘inwards’ onto the rails and fell. Thereafter the ‘All Clear’ signal was ordered to be hoisted. Jockey Neeraj Rawal was examined by the Medical Officer and declared unfit to continue with his riding engagements for the day. The colt was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to have sustained a gum injury.
