ch g SAUDAGAR received a cut injury on the right shoulder when kicked by another animal prior to the loading of horses in their respective stalls. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

SWEET SUSPENSE (Dashrath Singh) was fractious while being stalled.

DANCEHALL DAYS (Arman Khan) which was fractious in its stall was slow to begin.

CAPE CANAVERAL (B Nikhil) which was fractious while being stalled was slow to begin and thereafter finished the race detached from the field. Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor was advised not to accept with her charge until it was capable of a better performance.

STRIKE IT LUCKY (Sk Israil) was fractious in its stall.

When afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge ROYAL SCOTS (C Alford) placed 2nd by the Judge as compared to its previous run in Race No. 183, Tr. Bharath Singh stated :-

a) In race No. 183 the gelding which was drawn 11 raced wide throughout the race as the rider was unable to place his charge in a favourable position.

b) On entering the straight his charge was further carried ‘outwards’ by b g IMPRESSION and this incident has been recorded in the Stipendiary Stewards report of Race No. 183.

On questioning Jockey C Alford corroborated the trainer’s statements and added that in Race No. 183 when carried wide by b g IMPRESSION during the final 300 metres of the race he was unable to ride his mount to complete advantage. The Stipendiary Stewards after viewing the CCTV replay of Race No. 183 decided to take no further action.

On the morning of Thursday, 17th March, 2016 STRIKE IT LUCKY was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be lame on left hind. Tr. R V Gowli was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
