dk b g SO REGAL, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Tuesday, 22nd March, 2016 and found to lame on right fore. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Jasbir Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

HEAD HUNTER (App P Tejeshwar) and SIGNIFICANT (App Ranidan Singh) were fractious while being stalled.

An objection was lodged by Mr. Rutherford Alfod, the trainer of SIGNIFICANT (App Ranidan Singh) placed 4th by the Judge against Jockey Sk Israil, the rider of FUND RAISER placed 3rd by the Judge on the grounds of “from the 600 metres onwards Jockey Sk Israil has made no attempt in correcting his mount and has kept taking the grounds of my horse SIGNIFICANT all the way till the winning post and he has repeatedly kept using the whip in the right hand and my filly kept hesitating to pass”. The Stewards after interviewing Apprentice Ranidan Singh, Jockey Sk Israil, trainer Mr. Rutherford Alford, viewing the CCTV replay of the race and taking into consideration the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Stewards decided to over rule the objection. The “All Clear” was ordered to be hoisted and the Judge’s placings remained unchanged.

The Veterinary Officer reported that CLAIRVOYANCE returned with a cut injury on right hind.
