GENTLE KNOWLEDGE (App Ranidan Singh) and MAKE WAY FOR ME (A Sandesh) arrived late to the start thereby delaying the proceedings. Trs. Rutherford Alford and Javed Khan were advised to ensure that their charges arrive on time to the start in future.

An objection was lodged by Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of HIMALAYAN QUEEN placed 2nd by the Judge against Jockey A Sandesh, MAKE WAY FOR ME, placed 1st on the grounds of “he came violently outwards and bumped me when I was in full motion and due to which I had to check my mount for two strides which cost me a certain race”. The Stewards after interviewing Jockeys Neeraj Rawal and A Sandesh and viewing the CCTV replay of the race unanimously decided to up hold the objection and ordered the revised placings as under and “All Clear” signal was hoisted :-

HIMALAYAN QUEEN - 1 st

MAKE WAY FOR ME - 2 nd

SUZANNA - 3 rd

COPERNICUS - 4 th

KING KONG - 5 th

Jockey A Sandesh was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for failing to exercise control over his mount MAKE WAY FOR ME when placing it under pressure with the whip thereby allowing the gelding to shift ‘outwards’ and cause severe interference to HIMALAYAN QUEEN which was making quick progress on his outside during the final stages of the race.
