NEVER APART (Afzal Khan) was fractious in its stall.

MIGHTY CHANGLA (Surjeet Singh), ADAMANTIUM (Dashrath Singh), STAR AACT (App N B Kuldeep) and POWER OF FREEDOM (Shezad Khan) were slow to begin.

Jockey Dashrath Singh, the rider of ADAMANTIUM, reported that his mount appeared to be touched in the wind. The gelding was impounded for veterinary examination and on immediate examination no ailment was noticed. However, Tr. Vinay Lagad was advised to get the gelding thoroughly examined by the Veterinary Officer and report ailment, if any.

Jockey Arman Khan, the rider of FAMOUS ATTACK, was reprimanded for failing to maintain a straight course during the final stages of the race.

App Hindu Singh, the rider of BALVENIE, was reprimanded for shifting course ‘inwards’ when not sufficiently clear of POWER OF FREEDOM (Shezad Khan) approaching the 900 metres.

MIGHTY CHANGLA (Surjeet Singh) ran detached from the field. Tr. Farley Rodrigues was advised not to accept with the gelding until it was capable of a better performance.

Tr. Raunak Banerji when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge b f MODIFICATION as compared to its previous run in Race No. 33 on 25th November, 2016 where it ran unplaced, stated that :-

a) Race No. 33 run over 1100 metres was the filly’s maiden outing in which she was observed to run “green”.

b) He was advised by the Jockey after Race No. 33 to run the filly over a longer distance.

c) In today’s race run over 1400 metres the filly was much settled and produced her excellent track work.

d) The gap between the two runs was more than two weeks. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanations.
