CASTLEBRIDGE (P Trevor) was extremely fractious while being stalled. In view of its behaviour Tr. Bharath Singh was advised not to accept with the colt until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

An enquiry was held immediately after the running of the race with particular reference to the fall of KING CREDIBLE (T S Jodha), ANACAPRI (S Zervaan) and RUFUS (David Allan) passing the 1100 meter marker. At the conclusion of the enquiry it was established that KING CREDIBLE (T S Jodha) running one horse off the rails in a closely packed field fell at the time when Jockey T S Jodha had turned around to assure Jockey Y S Srinath (FORTUNE EXPRESS) positioned along the rails that ample space would be maintained by him. In this incident ANACAPRI (S Zervaan) and RUFUS (David Allan) travelling behind fell dislodging their respective riders and the following horses i.e., MILFORD SOUND (A Ashhad Asbar) and PANCHOVILLA (Yash Narredu) received various degrees of inconvenience. As the fall was accidental, the ‘All Clear’ signal was ordered to be hoisted. Jockey David Allan was examined by the Medical Officer and declared fit. However, Jockeys T S Jodha and S Zervaan were given immediate medical attention and sent to hospital for further medical management. ch c KING CREDIBLE having sustained a fracture on the right fore cannon bone was euthanized and ch f ANACAPRI returned bleeding from both nostrils to the unsaddling enclosure. Tr. P Shroff was informed not to accept with his charge ANACAPRI until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
